At its core WEC Design is a professional drafting company providing construction drawings for new house plans, renovations, remodels and additions. From conceptual to permitting we are the go-to team. At this time, we do not offer construction administration services. We are a team of talented designers within the AEC and manufacturing industries.

MEET OUR PRINCIPAL DESIGNER: WAYNE CARTER
Wayne grew up in Philadelphia. His father was a structural engineer and would make Wayne and his brother draw out (drafting) everything they wanted to build.
He also participated in PRIME (Philadelphia Region Introduction for Minorities into Engineering). He received a partial scholarship for mechanical engineering at Delaware State University and also studied Electrical-Mechanical Engineering/Design at Delaware Tech Community College.
He has worked for some of the largest AEC firms in the world.
His career began with an internship at ILC Dover as an Engineering Tech, where he quickly advanced to a Softgoods Design Engineer, contributing to NASA spacesuits and aerostats. He then joined Arcadis as a mechanical designer, focusing on water and wastewater treatment projects.
Wayne worked a Senior Mechanical and Piping Designer at m3 Engineering, where he has contributed to various mining and telescope projects. He further advanced his career at Sundt Construction as a VDC Engineer, leading a team in the construction of one of Arizona's largest water treatment plants for Intel.
